Our journeyĀ began in 2019 as a hobby, bornĀ from a (healthy?) obsession withĀ cars and sincere dislike forĀ typical, cheap office chairs that so many of usĀ are forced toĀ sit in for hours on end.
Ok, maybe not that healthy...
Let's switch back to chairs.
It all started with anĀ Audi Q5 seat. WeĀ took it apart and spent countless hours researching,Ā sketching and 3D modelling designsĀ while experimenting with different solutions.
Using some questionableĀ chair components available online, we eventuallyĀ built something that left a lot to be desired in terms of aesthetics but worked surprisingly well.
So well, in fact, that we decided to not just use one for ourselves but improve it and build some for sale.
From there we dove into finding andĀ testingĀ higher quality furniture components, which proved a lotĀ more challenging than expected.
Once we reached a pointĀ where we wereĀ satisfied with the results, Comfomotive, our part-time business was formed.
Another healthy obsession was born...
Modern car seats are packed with tech, so we had to become part-time electrical engineers. We figured out how to read electrical diagrams, power memory seat ECUs, ensure safety in case of malfunction, and source high-performance, compact batteries to keep everything running smoothly.
Along the way weĀ learned 3D printing to manufacture custom parts like trims and switch mounts. With gradual improvements the seatsĀ not only looked the part but also became much easier for us to design and build.Ā
The real challengeĀ was finding enough timeĀ between full time work andĀ raising a family to grow Comfomotive into something bigger. But we werenāt about to stop there.
Fast forward to today: with more experience, resources, and time, we decided to take the leap. This is howĀ R3VISION LTD was born.
Our breakthrough? Making premium car seat chairs more affordable without compromising quality by introducing DIY Conversion Kits.
