The X3M is BMW's answer to an odd brief: build an SUV that can embarrass sports cars on a track day. The seat had to do a job the M3 never worried about, holding you flat through corners from a higher centre of gravity, while staying practical enough for a car that also does the school run.

This chair keeps that job description.

It carries the same illuminated M badge and electric bolster adjustment as the car, built onto an office-grade base instead of a chassis.

Built for an SUV that forgets it's an SUV. At a desk, it forgets that too.

The chairs are built using bespoke laser-cut steel components, assembled and tested by hand here in the UK.

Is this chair right for you?

This is the X3M's comfort seat, not a racing bucket, and it's more comfortable than it looks in photos. The seat base itself is genuinely soft; it's only the bolsters that are built firm to hold you through hard cornering. That's exactly the combination owners praise these seats for, real comfort under you, real support around you. Because the bolster width is electrically adjustable, it opens up for broader builds and closes in to hold slimmer ones.

It is well suited to people who:

Width: The X3M chair measures 70 cm at its widest point (armrests).
Length: The distance from the front of the seat to the back of the headrest varies with sitting angle, ranging from approximately 70 - 90 cm.
Height: Minimum distance from the floor to the highest point of the seat base cushion at the front is approximately 48 cm.
Weight: The chair weighs about 40 kg.

Free delivery to mainland UK in 3–8 working days by specialist furniture courier. The courier will contact you to agree a convenient delivery time.

Warranty

We stand by our engineering. If any part of your chair has an issue, we’ll make it right – quickly, at no cost to you, and with minimal hassle.

Your chair is backed by a 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

The one exception is the battery on electric chairs. It’s a consumable: if it’s run down below its minimum voltage, it fails. Swapping it takes about 10 minutes and four bolts, and we can supply a replacement for £30.

Returns

Changed your mind? You have 30 days from delivery. We’ll arrange collection by courier at a time that suits you and deduct £100 from your refund to cover the return shipping. The chair must be in the condition it arrived in.
